Hi, I’m Mandy!
Founder & Owner
I am a small town Canadian girl with a big love for style, home, gardening, and gatherings. I settled into floral design after years of “DIYing” many friends and family’s wedding (including my own!) and realizing that I really wanted to make a career out of it!
My favourite part of being a floral designer is seeing how flowers bring people together and create moments where we can experience the beauty of nature together. It is my desire, at Viola Grey, to create intimate, inspiring gatherings with a naturalistic feel and a high attention to detail. I deeply value artistic quality above all else and every design that we create is a work of art.
OUR STYLE
As wedding trends change from year to year, a natural style remains timeless.
At Viola Grey, we are passionate about finding harmony between colour, setting, season and flower selection. I feel most inspired when working in a relaxed, natural style, celebrating the beauty of flowers up close. I realized that while trends change year to year, a natural look remains timeless. Our ideal wedding look is luxurious yet comforting and familiar at the same time.
I love to create flowers to look and feel as if they belong in the setting. This is our goal for each and every wedding. We want our designs to appear as if they’ve been planted there, gently nodding to their surroundings while gracefully acknowledging the style, taste and story of the couple.
MY STORY
After years of freelancing for sought-after floral design studios in Southern Ontario, Viola Grey Flowers began when I moved back home, to Simcoe County in 2021. I started by partnering with a floral studio in Cookstown, On and managed their weddings in 2022. By the end of the year, I took the leap out on my own and now run a full-service floral design studio from my home in Oro-Medonte. The greatest joy of this job is connecting with my couples, hearing their unique stories and creating something deeply personal for them. I look forward to designing countless beautiful weddings throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka in the years to come.

INVESTMENT
This pricing guide reflects our starting rates* for individual items designed in our signature, organic style. This will hopefully help give you a general idea of the floral design costs for your wedding. Premium flowers, increased size and density will affect the overall design cost. A 30% design fee and administrative costs, such as delivery, set-up, break down and rentals are in addition to rates provided below. Inquiring couples will recieve a personalized estimate based on their needs, wants and logistics, after our availibility confirmation and complementary discovery call.

OUR WEDDING PROCESS
Customized Design Proposal - Once we've gathered some initial details, we'll create a detailed proposal and estimate to present our version of your floral fairytale and make sure it aligns with your vision.
Revisions + Follow Up Call - After you've had a chance to review your proposal, we'll set up a call to chat through anything that needs adjusting and send you a second draft
Contract + Deposit Once you fall in love with the design, all that's left is to make it official! We'll lock in your date so that you can cross florals off your list!
Fine Tune + Final Payment About 30 days before the big day, we'll touch base to chat about any final changes, double check your order and make any necessary updates. We follow your planner's lead on scheduling your mockup meeting, if desired.
Delivery, Setup, + Breakdown Our job on the wedding day goes beyond delivering your floral arrangements. We design your ceremony arch by hand, place each and every arrangement and light every candle. We make certain that every detail is perfect, including repurposing any items from ceremony to reception before we depart. A typical installation time is a minimum of 4-6 hours on site.
